Our Learning Characters

Evidence suggests the use of ‘metacognitive strategies’ – which get pupils to think about their own learning – can have a positive impact on children’s progress. At school we have adopted learning characters which we use to encourage children to become self-regulated learners who can motivate themselves to engage in and improve their learning.
